How does the quote process work?
A:
Once a quote is requested by phone or online, the customer will be contacted by Providence Handyman Service via their preferred contact method. We’ll then schedule a time for an in-person inspection and quote. This helps us give each customer the most accurate estimate and allows us to talk through how we’d like to tackle the project.

Are you insured?
A:
Yes. Our general liability insurance helps protect our customers and their home.

What payment methods do you accept?
A:
We accept cash, check, and Venmo.

Are there any home services that you do not offer?
A:
Yes. Providence wants to ensure every customer gets the best quality service possible. We’re not going to take on work that is outside of our expertise at the expense of our customers. For that reason, we do not do bathroom and kitchen renovations, tile, carpet, flooring, HVAC installation/repair, roofing and roof ventilation, garage door installation, exterior home painting, plumbing, fencing installation — and recommend hiring a trusted professional for these services. If you’re not sure if your project is covered, give us a call and we’ll point you in the right direction.

Do you offer dryer vent cleaning and installation?
A:
Yes. Dryer vent installation depends on a lot of factors and the location. I would need to look at it in person before deciding if it is something I can do. Example: It requires venting through the roof.

Do you service garage doors?
A:
Yes. However, do not install garage doors.

Do you service exterior doors?
A:
We do service doors. We work by replacing hinges, weather stripping, thresholds, and rotten wood at the bottom of door jambs. We do not, however, install exterior doors. We recommend hiring a trusted door professional for door installation.

Do you give pricing over the phone?
A:
At Providence Handyman Services, we’re big believers in clear communication and setting expectations on the front-end of projects. We prefer to give quote in person, so that we’re able to share our plan on how to tackle the project and well as help answer questions from the customer. Meeting in person also makes it easy to physically show the customer where and how we’ll be working on their project.
